Is it expensive?

often hear that my products are too expensive ... and everything is relative, right? Because it depends entirely on what you compare with ...

I will try to explain which means that here comes a difficult blog post, but probably so important ...

We live in a country that imports clothes to three times the population every year ...

It pours in cheap garments and we have become so quick-blind that we do not want to pay anymore what it actually costs, but we use people who work under slave-like conditions because we should not buy expensive ... or because we should be able to buy new each month...

If we were to do that, that we compare time to time, and thought about our own salary?

We can take a minimum wage which is about 120: - / hour.
Sewing a simple top requires first that the cotton has been grown, harvested, knitted for fabric and dyed - we now only take the working time in this example that we can put in an hour.
Then the garment should be designed, there should be pattern parts, then cut out, we put here 30 minutes.
All of them will then be sewn together to a top and we will do it in 30 minutes.
The garment must be shipped to the store, gallows up, priced and exposed and sold to you, we do this in a quarter.
In total we now end up in two hours and 15 minutes.
Then the state must have employer contributions and 25% in VAT, and the person working must have 12% to the holiday allowance.
So in order to change our time against the time for this garment, 2.25 x 120 + employer fees and holiday pay will be 12% = 416: - + VAT = 520: - and then we have not paid anything for materials, color, sewing thread, etc.

No one has made any money but we only pay for the job as if the person who made it did it for the same pay as we have ...

Of course, one can see this example with the fact that we have much higher salaries here in Sweden, but someone has still done it and how can they survive?

So the next time you shop you can ask yourself the question, how can it be so cheap?
